Armenia & Georgia are one of the most ancient countries in the world, full of rich history, unique architecture, beautiful landscapes, and strong energy points.
These undiscovered ancient countries hold gorgeous natural scenery and hidden treasures just waiting to be explored.

This Journey is a combination of traveling, practicing yoga & meditation, and an amazing opportunity to connect to your true self and each other! 

The journey guided by Kristine who is a native Armenian and Jin, a Chines American freelance writer. Both of them are world travelers.

ITINERARY

  • Visit the world’s first Christian country!

  • Dive deep into the culture, history, and UNESCO world heritage sites.

  • Visit the world’s oldest winery, oldest cathedral and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities.

  • Learn to make some Armenian traditional dishes, and have an Armenian party.

  • Take part in the liturgies and in spiritual ceremonies.

  • Test your chess knowledge in a country where chess is a national sport.

  • Practice Meditation & Yoga

PART 1: ARMENIA

  • Pick up at the airport and transfer to the hotel in Yerevan. 

  • WELCOME DINNER in Armenian traditional restaurant with a folk program.

Day 1: ARRIVAL TO YEREVAN

  • Morning Meditation & yoga

  • The Cascade complex

  • Cafesjian Center for the Arts

  • Opera house

  • Matenadaran (a repository of ancient manuscripts) 

  • Evening walk in YEREVAN: 2800-year-old capital

  • Participation in Dancing fountains show. 

Day 2: EXPLORING YEREVAN

  • Morning Meditation

  • TSITSERNAKABERD (The Armenian Genocide memorial complex) - a solemn reminder of the first genocide of the 20th century

  • SAINT ECHMIADZIN (one of the oldest churches in the world) – the spiritual center of Armenia, (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

  • 7th-century ZVARTNOTS CATHEDRAL (UNESCO World Heritage Site) - a masterpiece of early medieval Armenian architecture.

Day 3: DIVE INTO THE CULTURE

  • Morning Meditation

  • The KHOR VIRAP "deep dungeon“(established in 642 CE) -the most famous pilgrimage site in Armenia. 

  • ARENI (tour, wine tasting) -the winemaking region where wines from the indigenous grape sort produced.

  • THE OLDEST WINERY in the world- Trchuneri (Bird’s) cave and find 6000 years old winery.

  • 13th-century NORAVANK MONASTERY- a masterpiece complex scattered by amazing khachkars (Armenian cross-stones).

Day 4: SOUL & WINE

  • Hellenistic GARNI - the only pagan temple in Armenia (76 AD).  

  • UNESCO World Heritage GEGHARD MONASTERY (the 4th century) -a fantastic example of Armenian medieval architecture carved into nearby rocks.

  • Armenian traditional famous Gata tasting.

  • SEVAN – the largest lake in the Caucasus and one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world.

  • SEVANAVANK monastic complex (founded in 874)

  • Arrival to DILIJAN

Day 5: REFLECTION OF HISTORY

  • OLD DILIJAN (Tufenkian center)

  • Visiting a local school and a chess club 

  • Check your chess knowledge with local chess players.

  • Visit a wooden museum made by a local guy who spent 20 years of his life to make it.

  • 13th-century MATOSAVANK CHURCH – do short hiking to a hidden church Matosavank 

  • Evening meditation

Day 6: MEET LOCALS

  • Morning Meditation and yoga practice

  • 13th-century MONASTERY HAGHARTSIN - an indescribable example of a blend of nature with architecture.

  • LAKE PARZ in the Dilijan National Park

  • Cooking class in a local family (optional)

  • Traditional dinner with local families.

Day 7: HOMEMADE ARMENIAN CUISINE

  • 10th-century AKHTALA FORTRESS and church - a perfect combination of Armenian, Georgian and Byzantine architecture.

  • A crossing of Armenian-Georgian border at Bagratashen checkpoint and arriving in Tbilisi; capital of Georgia.

Day 8: BORDER CROSSING

Armenian cuisine is as ancient as the history of Armenia.
Try an ancient Armenian bread: Lavash (UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity). Taste dolma, basturma, sujukh. Taste Armenian BBQ made in tonir: a special stove where many traditional Armenian dishes are made.

  • Visit one of the most ecologically diverse places in the world.

  • Dive deep into the ancient cities, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and snowy mountains!

  • Visit the highest town in Europe

  • Visit one of the biggest Orthodox churches in the world

PART 2: GEORGIA

  • Morning Meditation

  • OLD CITY CENTER WALKING TOUR

  • Lunch in a Georgian Traditional restaurant

  • Shopping time

 

Day 9: EXPLORING TBILISI

  • Morning Meditation

  • Trinity church (one of the biggest Orthodox churches in the world)

  • Arrival to winery boutique hotel

  • Wine tasting & wine tour

Day 10: WINERY

  • Morning Meditation and yoga!

  • Explore wine canyon where many old family-run wineries

  • Visit ancient attractions along the road

  • Taste local food

  • Visit several wineries and cellar-tunnels around the Great Caucasus Mountains

Day 11: THE GEORGIAN WINE CANYON

 

  • The Aleksandre Chavchavadze Museum

  • SIGNAGI city of love

  • Wonder around

Day 12: THE CITY OF LOVE

  • Visit one of the oldest cities of Georgia MTSKHETA 

  • Back to Tbilisi and free time!

  • Evening yoga class.

Day 13: TBILISI

  • Fly in a small airplane to MESTIA. the most famous hiking town on South Caucasus

  • Drive to the hill above the town and see the incredible view

Day 14: FLYING INTO MESTIA, THE HIKING CAPITAL OF CAUCASUS

  • Hiking in breathtakingly beautiful SVANETI area

Day 15: HIKING DAY

  • Explore USHGULI: the highest town in Europe.

  • Evening Meditation or Yoga practice!

Day 16: HIGHEST TOWN IN EUROPE

  • Explore KUTAISI: the second largest city in Georgia.

  • The Bagrati Cathedral is one amazing objective, built in the 11th century

  • The Gelaty Monastery, a monastic complex (a UNESCO World Heritage Site)

  • Local market

Day 17: THE OLD CAPITAL OF THE KINGDOM OF COLCHIS

  • Back to Tbilisi

  • Closing event, Lunch at the top of the city 

  • Free time

 

 

 

Day 18: CLOSING DAY: TBILISI

Georgian cuisine is one of the most important attractions of the country.it is delicious, also bright, original, exquisite, unique and unforgettable.

Try Georgian bread Puri, cheese bread: khachapuri, cheese: sulguni, Pkhali Board, Mtsvadi & Tkemali, khinkali and much more.
